If you want to permanently delete your Instagram account, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Instagram website on your desktop or mobile browser. You cannot delete your account from within the Instagram app.
2. Log in to your account.
3. Go to the Instagram Delete Your Account page (https://www.instagram.com/accounts/remove/request/permanent/).
4. Choose a reason for deleting your account from the drop-down menu.
5. Re-enter your password in the field provided.
6. Click or tap “Permanently delete my account”.
7. Instagram will delete your account along with all your photos, videos, comments, and followers within a few minutes.

Note that once you delete your account, you won’t be able to reactivate it or retrieve any of the content or information you’ve shared on Instagram.

Additionally, if you’ve signed up for Instagram using your Facebook account, deleting your Instagram account will also delete your Facebook account. So make sure you’re certain you want to delete your account before you proceed.
